1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, building, or using Syntropy Health ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.
2. Description of the Software
Syntropy Health is a self-hosted, personal clinical record aggregator and dashboard. The Software connects directly to standardized SMART on FHIR endpoints (including Epic MyChart, Kaiser Permanente, and open sandboxes) using user-authorized OAuth 2.0 credentials to display your health records locally on your personal computing environment.

Syntropy Health is an informational tool for organizing and inspecting your personal clinical data. The Software does not provide clinical diagnosis, medical treatment, or healthcare services. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical questions, treatments, or symptoms. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
4. User Responsibilities & Data Custody
Because Syntropy Health runs locally on your device:
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the physical, cryptographic, and access security of the device where the Software is deployed.
- You are responsible for the confidentiality of your health portal credentials and OAuth refresh tokens stored in your local environment.
- Syntropy Labs maintains no custody, remote backups, or access keys to your health data.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Syntropy Labs does not warrant that provider FHIR endpoints will remain uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Governing Law & Contact
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
